Days go by
I usually don’t feel any different the day of my birthday. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I still get ecstatic, waking up with a big smile knowing that today isn’t any ‘ordinary’ day and feeling more loved than one would/should. So by different, I really mean older. I never feel any older. Or at least I never used to feel any older. Today, however feels different from...

someone build me a machine that creates more...
I wish I could say I am one of those people that believe “SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK”, so that I could get infinite amounts of work done in a day. But no, sleep just has to be important. I never thought I’d say this, but dammit! this act of restoration is becoming too much of a nuisance for me.
As a college student I’d like to both learn and get the grades I deserve as well as...

Chapter 11 for Blockbuster
And the world keeps changing…
It’s been expected for about 2 years now. They tried their hardest to regain market share, but the ingenuity of Netflix was too powerful to overcome.
I’m slowly starting to see the companies I once grew up with disappear/transform into something new. Just another reminder that I’m getting older growing up.

Windows and Poverty
One of my best friends wrote an opinion piece for the Inquirer about poverty in Manila.
Amazing.

It pays to be a tattletale..
Whistleblowing incentives are off the chain with the new financial reforms! It’s almost unbelievable to know how much the SEC is willing to pay people! I wonder if the strengthening of such a regulatory action will bring more peace or problems?
I can only imagine the number of fraud allegations that will arise in the upcoming months/years, and how many coworker relationships will be...

Something to thank Malaria for..
Malaria. A horrible disease that when infected can cause severe sickness for weeks, and possibly result to death. The only good thing that came out of malaria? Air conditioning. In the early 1800s, people realized malaria was more common when the weather was hot and humid. So in order to fight the disease they started cooling the rooms of the infected. I assume the infected and the non-infected...

Brüno & Beer
Hmmm…Something incongruous about a) watching Brüno in a movie theater in Germany and b) being able to buy a glass of beer in the movie theater.
Incongruous, yet very very appealing.
My Background Color
Psychology of Color: Orange
The most flamboyant color on the planet! It’s the color tied most this fun times, happy and energetic days, warmth and organic products. It is also associated with ambition. There is nothing even remotely calm associated with this color. Orange is associated with a new dawn in attitude.
